Marketing 101

Perception is reality–If we think something is great, it is. Everyone following our page has something to sell, whether it’s a product or an image. Image is how other people, like customers or employers, perceive us, image is important because like it or not, we are judged on our image.

Personal image, product image it’s all branding.

You are your brand. Remember this, it will serve you well. What this means is that everything you do, online and IRL, reflects on you and directly effects your ability to succeed.  The first thing you should do is look closely at what it is you are trying to project with your online presence–is it stability, intelligence, reliability? No matter, whatever your online image, it’s important to select a picture of yourself that is professional looking and shows you at your best.

Say what you feel, really

If you are promoting your new cookie business or a new T-Shirt idea, it’s important to tell your story. Consumers love feeling involved in the products or services they are buying. Layout the history of your idea and why you chose to run with it–if it excites you it will excite others. One of the best ways to do this is to start a blog.
